The Aftermath: Week 6

Week 6 provided some surprising results and some amazing performances. The Titans got their first win in the Robert Saleh era, meanwhile the Colts are looking at a full rebuild. The Browns got a huge win to take the division and the Rams loss moves them into last place in the NFC West. Let’s dive deeper into some of these big results.
Titans Get First Victory in Indy
The Titans shocked the NFL landscape by getting their first win of the season in Indy with big special teams plays. Big returns and a massive blocked punt propelled them into victory and the Colts left with serious questions. I still don’t think this means the Titans are going to compete for the division, but this is a good win nonetheless. The Colts, however, now have to answer the question every team doesn’t want to at this point in the season: Is it rebuild time? The next two weeks are going to be telling whether or not the Colts will be sellers at the trade deadline.
Cleveland Takes AFC North Lead
A sneaky important game from the weekend was this one. No Lamar Jackson meant Cleveland was in prime position to win the game and take the lead in the division, and they did just that. Watson only threw for 164 yards but that’s all they needed from him through the air when he provided some big additional rushing yards of 29 yards, teams second leading rusher. Baltimore needed their defense to help propel them to a win and they played good enough for that to happen, but the offense didn’t do their part to help getting shut out after the first quarter.
The Biggest Upset Thus Far
Arizona walked into SOFI Stadium for the second time this season and both times, flew home victorious. The Rams defense played well but gave up a late drive to allow the Cardinals to get into field goal position for the game winner. They kept the Arizona offense out of the end zone all game so its begs to be asked, how did the Rams lose this game? Stafford threw for 222 yards and they averaged 4.6 yards per rush. The biggest discrepancy comes in time of possession. The Cardinals had the ball for almost 34 minutes while the Rams only had 25 minutes time of possession. The Cardinals controlled the clock and didn’t allow the Rams to run up the score to the point where it ever got out of reach.
Week 6: Winners and Losers

Winners:
- CJ Stroud: He played an excellent game and was a huge reason why the Texans got a big win against Jacksonville. It looks as though Marvin Harrison Jr is happy to be reunited with Stroud.
- Drake Maye: He had another excellent week and it seems as though he is back on track to being the player we remember from last season.
- Green Bay: Two weeks in a row of the offense being good and two weeks in a row of the defense also being good. Holding the Cowboys offense to 13 points is a huge positive sign moving forward.
Losers:
- The Colts: After trading two first round picks for Sauce, they are now staring down a bad season and not having a first round pick to compensate for it. They need to become sellers and try and recoup as many picks as they can to jump start this rebuild.
- Justin Herbert/Chargers: Both of these are losers. Going into a week 6 bye winless and your franchise QB playing this poorly is tough. Herbert throwing rookie level interceptions and the run game being non-existent probably means big changes are coming.
- Seahawks Offense: Three weeks in a row of turnovers, bad QB play and no run game. This offense is holding back the potential the defense provides. Mike Macdonald doesn’t have a lot of time to figure it out until this season is gone.
